In case we haven’t met…

Half-way through Kendall’s residency at Wake Forest, God very distinctly (and equally unexpectedly!) called us to medical missions at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital. The six of us arrived here in December 2023! Kendall is a doctor for the people of Papua New Guinea, Joshua is Missions Development Coordinator and works with local churches and the hospital, and the kids are probably the best missionaries of all.

We are privileged to be part of the Samaritan’s Purse / World Medical Mission Post-Residency Program who is helping train us for medical missions over the first two years at the hospital.

Pray with us as we share what God is doing each month in Kudjip.

Kudjip Nazarene Hospital

Located in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, Kudjip is a mission hospital operated by the Church of the Nazarene and has been serving the people of Papua New Guinea since 1967. Serving alongside the missionary physicians are over 250 staff from all areas of PNG. In 2016, Kudjip became the only church-run hospital in Papua New Guinea to be officially recognized as a Provincial Referral Hospital!

In 2022, the hospital had 57,579 outpatient clinic visits, 7,244 admissions, 2,866 baby deliveries, 1,008 surgeries, and 3,559 nutritional feeds. Every year, hundreds of people give their lives to Christ through the hospital’s ministry, new churches are started, miracles happen, people grow in their faith, patients find comfort and some face death with new hope, and the good news of abundant life in Christ is lived and proclaimed!

Support the work

Our work in PNG will be on a volunteer basis. The first 2 years we will receive funding from World Medical Mission that covers about 50% of our expenses, after that we will need to raise 100% of our own support. If you would like to financially join with us in serving the people of Papua New Guinea, click the Give button below to go to our missionary giving page. Thank you!

If you prefer to give by check, you can send to:

General Treasurer, Church of the Nazarene
P.O. Box 843116
Kansas City, MO 64184

Make check payable to “General Treasurer, Church of the Nazarene” and write “Stewardson Deputation” on the memo line. Thank you!
